Happy New Year! We have been in full swing since returning from the holiday break.

7A & 7D have been busy creating zines which highlight the issues in Afghanistan that were uncovered in our recent novel study, The Breadwinner.  These are due on Monday, January 16.  No lates will be accepted for this assignment, as they have had all week to work on it in class.

8A - We have started our final chapter in the Renaissance unit.  Students have a vocabulary quiz tomorrow, January 13.

9C/9H - We have started chapter 4, which discussed collective rights in Canada.

10 Days until Christmas!! 


7A and 7D will be finishing our novel study this week!  They will be planning their final project next week, no homework for the holidays!

8A is finishing up with Chapter 2, they have a source analysis assignment on google classroom that is due Monday.  Their Chapter 2 exam is on Thursday, December 22. 

9C and 9H are working on their Chapter 3 project.  They are required to create their own Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  Their Chapter 3 exam is on Tuesday December 20 (9C) and Wednesday December 21 (9H)

8A - You will have time to work on your project on MONDAY, it will now be due on Tuesday.

9C & 9H - Your projects are due on MONDAY, no late exceptions

7A - Your rough copy of the chapter 1-5 summary is due on Monday

7D enjoyed the weather, "The Breadwinner" and some naan, Afghan style!

7A - Your Parvana biopoem must be done!

8A - Your Chapter 1 unit exam is on Wednesday, November 2.

7D - Tomorrow will be your last opportunity to work on your "whats on the menu?' assignment.  After tomorrow's class this will be homework.  The menu is due on FRIDAY, October 21.

7A - Your "White Owl" worksheet must be handed in at the beginning of class tomorrow.

LA 7A - Your grammar assignment is due on Thursday, October 6.  

LA 7D - We will begin presenting your biographies on Friday, October 7. 

SS 8A - Your silk road mapping assignment is due on Thursday, October 6.  

SS 9 C& H - Your brochures are passed due.  Remember you are penalized 10% per day that you do not hand it in!
